David Blaine's Box 'Perfect For First Time Buyer' Claims Estate Agent

The perspex box used by magician David Blaine for his 44 day endurance
stunt would make the perfect home for a first time buyer, says the estate
agent currently trying to sell it.

Barkerstone estate agents, who have been instructed by Blaine's management
to put the box on the market, have set the initial asking price for the box at
GBP 650,000.

The company brochure describes the 7 foot square property as "a compact,
fully detached, urban living space, featuring ultra-minimalist design and
located in a prime, central London location with magnificent views of the
Thames." The agents have confirmed that the box is being sold unfurnished.

---BOX: Bargain.

"For today's buyers the priority is 'location, location, location', and they don't
get much better that this," said Barkerstone agent Tom Handley. "It's literally
a few minutes walk to the City and you have totally unobstructed views of
Tower Bridge. Okay, you might not have hot water or electricity, and the
bathroom is, essentially, a small plastic tube but that's really part of the
property's charm."

The agency has already had some interest from buyers. Brendan and Jacqueline
Hindes saw the box the morning it came onto the market and are considering
putting in an offer: "We had set our hearts on a two bedroom flat in Clapham,"
said Jacqueline Hindes, "but with prices as high as they are, a small plastic box
suspended from a crane looks like the next best thing."

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen was unavailable for comment.
