Milosevic And Lawyers
Preparing To Lose Memory Some Time Next Week.
Slobodan Milosevic, currently facing
a United Nations war crimes tribunal in
The Hague, is finalising plans to
lose his memory some time next week, his
lawyers say.
"We have had lengthy discussions
with Mr. Milosevic and will soon be in a
position start forgetting a lot
of what happened during his term in office," said
one of the former Serbian president's
representatives.
Milosevic is believed to be already
making progress, having forgotten about
several key meetings and important
military briefings over which he presided.
"We have drawn up a detailed list
of incidents that occurred while Mr. Milosevic
was president including the killing
of civilians, torture, rape, theft of property
and confiscation of passports from
departing refugees," his lawyer said, "and we
have clarified exactly what should
immediately be expunged from his memory.
By the end of this week, he should
have little or no idea about anything that
happened while he was in office.
Fingers crossed."
The trial continues.
