The launch of the Euro signals the end of international cultural diversity, says a
panel of middle-aged, white, British men wearing suits.

"Our tradition of living side by side with those who are different - other
cultures with different values - is under threat," said Lord Heathcote
Tomkinson, eighth Earl of Farnhamworth. "And anyway, I hate the bloody
French."

"It is vital we retain our individuality as nations," said Barrington Simpkins,
Conservative MP. "For example, my butler is from Scotland. Can you
imagine the uproar there would be if we forced the Scots to use the same
currency as us? It doesn't bear thinking about."

"The euro is doomed," said Lord Ormondroyde, owner of an influential
broadsheet newspaper and publishing empire. "As more and more countries
join up, the euro will strengthen dramatically, trade across borders will
accelerate, and public skepticism will evaporate. It will be a disaster."
