"Prince Harry Must Stay
Away From Drink And Drugs," Prince Charles Tells Trees, Flowers
The Prince of Wales has privately
expressed his concern over Prince Harry's
welfare to a number of plants growing
in his Highgrove House garden.
"I'm determined to raise him as a
responsible, well-adjusted young adult," he
told one of his favourite trees,
a silver birch. "He has to realise he is part of a
normal family."
It was recently revealed that Harry
visited a drug rehabilitation centre at his
father's request, after he learned
that the young prince had experimented with
cannabis and frequently drank at
a local pub.
"I felt the visit would be a shock
to his system, and might deter him from any
further experimentation," Charles
told a row of daffodils. "What else can one
do?"
It is believed that Charles regularly
confides in his plants, despite the fact that a
yew hedge that used to grow in the
garden recently published a book in
collaboration with Andrew Morton
in which it was highly critical of the Prince.
The small cluster of geraniums near
the duck pond were unavailable for comment.
